Trial lesson

A trial lesson is not a test. We get to know each other and work out where you are now and where you want to get to. Only then do you decide whether we carry on together, and with which programme.
What happens in the trial lesson?
- We establish your level and set the goals of the course.
- We talk about why you are learning: work, a residence permit, a partner, studies, pleasure …
- You try out what a lesson with me is like.
- At the end I suggest a programme, a number of lessons and a pace of learning.
Programmes
All courses are one-to-one and take place online; one lesson lasts 45 minutes. I prepare the materials specially for you, for your level, your profession and the reason you are learning.
Levels A1–C1

For those building the language from the ground.

For all courses the rule is the same: the more lessons you take, the lower the price. Not sure which one to choose? Book a free trial lesson and I will suggest a programme for you.
Good to know …
What is included in every programme
- Materials prepared for you. The coursebook is not included in the price of the course.
- Notes after every lesson (material covered, mistakes, homework).
- Flexible scheduling.
- Ongoing progress checks. Every 10 lessons we review how far you have come and where more work is needed.
- Available during the week. If you have further questions, I am here. I reply within 24 hours.
Conditions
- Length of a lesson: 45 minutes.
- Where it takes place: on Zoom; you receive the link before the course begins.
- Validity of a package: 10 lessons must be used within 4 months, 20 lessons within 8 months.
- Cancelling a lesson: lessons can be rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start. If you cancel later, the lesson is deducted from your package.
- Payment: the package is paid in advance against an invoice; packages of 20 lessons or more can be paid in two instalments.
- Invoice: you receive an invoice for every payment. For companies I issue the invoice to the company.
FAQ
Do I need to know anything before we start?
No. The programmes can start from the very beginning – from “dober dan” and the Slovene alphabet.
What language are the lessons in?
At beginner levels we use English or German to help, but we move into Slovene quickly. The aim is to set English aside as soon as possible.
What do I need?
A computer or tablet, headphones and a camera.
How quickly will I make progress?
It depends on your starting point and on the time you put in between lessons. I can give you a more precise estimate after the trial lesson.
Can I share the lessons with my partner?
Of course. In that case a mini group is the right choice.
What if I have to interrupt the course?
Unused lessons are not lost while the package is still valid. If it is a longer break, write to me and we will find a solution.
